Twelve years of alcoholism, drug addiction, dabbling in the occult, and a crime-ridden lifestyle; left Alan empty and void. The morning of August 30, 1981, he was radically saved at Bethesda Bible Church of Ypsilanti, Michigan and began a journey to discover, “Who is this Jesus who loved him just the way he was”.

Cherie received Jesus as savior while watching a Billy Graham Crusade on TV at nine years of age and was water baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at Bethesda Missionary Temple in Detroit, Michigan when she turned thirteen.

Alan and Cherie met at Bethesda Bible Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1983 and were married in 1984. They have two daughters 22 and 25 years old. Their great love for God and his people propelled them to serve wherever they could as Sunday school teachers, Cell leaders, and Heads of departments. In October of 1991 they began to go out as itinerant ministers to the nation of Romania. Conversions and healed lives followed this ministry. In 1998 Alan and Cherie were set apart and commissioned by the leadership of Bethesda to pioneer and plant a church in Battle Creek, Michigan. Alan and Cherie co-pastor this dynamic growing church known as Restoration Life Church & Ministries. They are also ordained and commissioned as Apostles to the Body of Christ by Christian International. Because of their apostolic and prophetic mantel, they are a voice of authority to the territory.
